Rock Steady Boxing

Team Rock Steady Boxing Dover
for People with Parkinson's

Better Together

The mission of Rock Steady Boxing is to empower people with Parkinson's disease to fight back by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum. The program is highly specialized to work with a clinical population, and one of only three accredited exercise education programs in the United States. It fits perfectly with the mission of LIFT: Build a body that works for the life you want to live in a positive, supportive environment. Together, we are unstoppable!

We focus each class on overall strength, balance, and fun. Studies show that intense, “forced” exercise may be neuro-protective and actually slow disease progression. In our clients' experience, this program favorably impacts range of motion, flexibility, posture, gait, and activities of daily living. So what are you waiting for? Let's get moving!!!

Cheryl and Max have a reputation in the Rock Steady Boxing community for offering not just exercise, but also love and compassion to our members. We fight together, share experiences, and support one another.  If you are looking for an uplifting place to find emotional support along with a safe environment to practice your agility, speed, muscular endurance, accuracy, hand-eye coordination, footwork and overall strength, you've found it here.
In-person hybrid classes from our gym in Dover:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:00 a.m.

Our classes are geared toward people who have recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's and are able to move independently from one station to the next. Our first priority is your safety! If your disease has progressed and you are unable to manage the class independently, you are welcome to join our online class or we can help you find a more appropriate Rock Steady Boxing class.
